Earthly spirits 

Through these pieces, Samantha seeks to communicate through a new visual language, forging direct connections with viewers by exploring a universal mode of expression. She crafted these pieces specifically as their own spell, space or personality with the assistance of a variety of natural dyes, food wastes and minerals. Each piece holding significance and a story, in which the viewer can interpret through their own perception. She works with light and space, and identifies perception itself as material through the tools of color and focus. Her overral aim is to generate physical calmness in viewers of the work, creating a symbiosis or a process of the visible and the invisible and how we can experience the ephemeral and see how we can immerse ourselves in the temporal fabric of nature.
